"Sometimes riding your bike isn’t about racing or the commute to work, it’s about just heading out the door to have a good time with friends. With that in mind, we turned to our friends the Cretins, a local San Diego cycling club, to work on a bike that’s all about the fun ride. An eclectic group of DIY punk rockers and specialists in having a good time on a bike, the Cretins promote bike awareness and raise money for good causes through community-based events like local group rides and larger scale charity rides. Our ethos when we took to the drawing board was to make a bike that embodies the same less-stress, more-riding ideology of the Cretins. Compact drops allow for multiple hand positions, carbon and alloy parts keep the build light and absorb some of the impact of riding on the street, and a single speed/fixed hub means less maintenance and less worries.
